Combined Choir Concert

It has been confirmed that the YI CHOIR will be performing in the Combined Choir Concert.

Do note this date down on your scheduler! :)
Date: 13 November 2009
(Fri evening @ Victoria Concert Hall)

As such, we are urging / encouraging all of you to push back your holiday plans to a later date. Do give yourself the chance to perform with other schools and in front of the public!
We don't get that many a chance to sing in the Victoria Concert Hall!

The YI Choir will most likely be performing these songs:
1. Phantom of the Opera
2. Nona-nona
3. Mairie's Wedding
4. Ye Lai Xiang
5. Season's Greetings (a medley of Xmas songs)
And some other songs which we are to learn.

In-house NDP training - WELL DONE!!!

1. the NDP leaders for taking the initiative to conduct the training session for the 1st-row dancers.
   Indeed, such initiative speaks volume of your desire to lead and serve the school. It's certainly not easy to be leaders, but may time and experience be the tools to sharpen your leadership skills. You have the potential...so let it SHINE!


2. Shahir for conducting the training.
   Gosh..! Not a breeze to be handling your counterparts, but you have done A GREAT JOB! You may not have noticed how engaged and resposive they were toward you. It seems easy for you to command respect from them and I think it comes by not by accident. You probably have earned it somehow. Keep up the good work!


3. The first-row dancers!!
   The training would not have happened without your cooperation and attendance! You had done your part well - not just by turning up, being cooperative and respectful to the Commandant, but also, being committed to being a good NDP-participant. Well done!!

As for the rest, please turn up for the subsequent in-house trainings conducted by these leaders. They have worked hard (if not, extra harder than most of you!) to come together to run through the steps and dance sequences.

And we believe all these are NOT done because the leaders like it. The leaders had done it (out of their own initiatives!, mind you!) because they want the YI-NDP participants to do their best for the Nation's BDAY!

Keep up the spirit!!! :D

Regarding the NDP

Dear NDP dancers,

Hello, how are all of you?? Did anyone sick or having flu after dancing under the heavy rains last Sat?? Hope all of you remains healthy. Drink lots of water!

Last Sat was a fun performance under the heavy rain.. Hahas.. Quite a number of you get really ''high'' after the rain falls.. I'm really glad when it start raining.. all of you continue to dance and having fun rather than stop dancing and finding things to cover yourself.. Well Done! Pat yourself at your back. Hope you guys maintain this team spirits.

Now are the cases regarding your attendences...

NDP dancers!! Please come for every ndp training cannot!! We are really irritated by all this act...
I heard the NDP people told all the school teacher, '' those students that never come often, please drag then out and come to the front to look for them.''
What do you think they going to do?? You yourself know the consequences of not going to the ndp training...
All of us are giving you one last chance... Teachers and all the leaders are taking actions.. You better turn up for the next training which is on this Sat! It only for another few more trainings.. all we want from you is to give us your Sat time... by keeping that day free... that all..
Please.. i want to see all the ndp dancers to turn up for every training lessons!! All!!

Learning NEW dance steps

Dear Ndp dancers,

It quite disappointing to see, not 100% of the ndp dancers came today.. It about 50% or 60% only...

Sad to say, if you are not here today, then you have missed the NEW dance steps..

I do not know how you guys dance on this sat, when you all does not know the NEW dance steps...
- follow the leaders in front ??
- follow your friends ??
- follow other school??
What if they dance wrong ?? You guys gonna follow the wrong dance steps too ?

Please! NDP dancers... this is a performance for the Singapore, for our homeland(for most of you)... If foreigners can have a full attendance, why can't you ?? Now the only way is to follow the leaders... no other choices... But,
