Reflection on 1st In-House NDP training

Do feel free to comment on it, or even state your own reflection. :)

Here is my take for the event.

  1. Always get the audio system ready.
Don't assume things. I'd assumed that the CD given to me by CCAB contains audio files, but oni to discover that the music saved are in data format. !@#$%^
  2. Always have a IT-hero stand-by.
Thank God that Mr Pang is an IT-expert. He literally saved the day! (my HERO!)
  3. Don't get flustered when things get cropped up.
Yes, tis something i need to learn and constantly remind myself. I need to learn to let go and always seek alternatives, shd things fail me, or do not go the way i want. I need to learn not to be affected by the children's mood and be steady. I notice that whenever i fluster (which i do very easily!), i tend to scold the kids more and my brain just cant think of solutions. sigh!
  4. Be patient with slower people and IT-technicalities.
Do i need to say more...? sigh.
  5. Always remember that kids are still kids. They cant deliver things the way you want.
As teacher, i think we need to manage our expectations, before we manage the children. The kids, though may display leadership qualities, will fail u in some way or another. Be mindful that they are, too, learning along the way. Give them more space for learning.

Lastly, i apologize for flaring up my temper today during training. Hope you guys understand. really need to push you guys to your fullest potentials.

YOU ALL HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE EXCELLENT!

Believe in yourself!!
