uhm hi! i'm quite bored actually
so i'll be the first to type out my reflection for today's performance
its surely an eye opener for me.
I never get to see the real conditions of these people with my bare eyes.
Surely , not the nicest sight you can ever see , but never judge them .
I feel awesome after seeing one of the resident actually sang with us.
and NO Mr Wong , its not creepy . It's a wonderful sight .

ok! its been quite a long time since i had ever post at this blog
firstly , i gotta praise the choir for today's performance
wooho! hahas , eventhou the guys struggle a little but we still sound good
secondly , i wanna wish good luck for those people who are in YI idol!
work hard to win ! and for sec4s , lets leave a mark in YI so that we will not be forgotten!
as the PIONEERS OF CHOIR! ( did i spell pioneer right?)

ReplyDeleteIt was my 1st time going to the old folk's home, and it's quite a pity to see all the elderly confined to a wheelchair for many years due to their debilitating illness and more.. Felt sorry to those elderly who got abandoned by their children too!.!

ReplyDeleteMy reflection about yesterday was i was very happy as i had a chance to sing with the seniors in front of the elderly.I also help a few elderly. They are nice people.When I went to the Old Folk's Home, I felt nervous as I might cry to see the elderly as i can't bare to see them like that condition.I felt pity on them.I hope they happy to live at the Old Folk's Home with their friends.That's al about my reflection.
My reflection is about yesterday's performance. I felt that it was fun when performing in front of the elderly. I felt happy when I saw many of the elderly smile when we were performing.. ReplyDeleteYesterday was the first time I sang with the choir. It was hard with a sore throat ~.~ I couldnt survive today with talking T-T Well its okay anyway. I enjoyed singing for the old folks reminds me of singing with family. But I can say that the people enjoy the performance. Twas great? AYE!

i was really touched by what i saw during the performance yesterday. i felt very sad seeing the elderly wheelchair bound. it was a very emotional moment when i saw them tryin to sing along. but it was a good experience though.

ReplyDeletePerforming at Old Folks Home is a great experience especially when you're singing to them as a choir member.. I felt very sorry for them as most of them were in wheelchair bound.. I hope that they enjoyed yesterdays performance and i hope that they can have a happy life...

Our performance really made the sad elderly happier and I hope that we had made their CNY a better one. Although I did not show it, i felt sad for them as some elderly could not even smile even though they were happy as they have muscle problem. This trip had really thought me to cherish our grandparents more.

Although I have been to old folks home a few times, I had never perform at an old folks home before, this was the first time! It was a great experience for me! After visiting the old folks home, I learnt that we should cherish our grandparents and in the future, no matter how busy we are, we should not send them to the old folks home.

It's a great experience for all to be able to perform at Old Folk's Home. I think we should have more of this and interact longer with the old people. Maybe next trip to the orphanage? :D Basically I think everyone did well during the performance but still there's room for improvement (:

Being able to perform at Old Folk Home is fantastic as it allow me to see how people living in the Old Folk Home are.Those old folk stay there everyday and and they are very bored.I hope the YI choir performence can make them happy!

As this is my first time visting and performing at Old Folks Home, I started to have butterfly in my stomach when I arrived to the Home. I think we could perform better IF the piano is not that wayyyy out of tune and the boys can remember most of their lyrics. Interaction with the old folks can be scary. There was one occasion where one of the folks tried to hit me when I am trying to get friendly with her! But still, I can't blame her, can I? The folks in the home is cut from the society and they can get really lonely once in a while...

This is my second time going to an old folks home and its completely different from the one i went for my matahari project. This place is completely all wheel-chair bound, where else there has old folks which can walk on their own.

Hi!Old Folks Home was something very new to me!I have not been there before.The impact i had from going there for the first time was very big or strong.I felt sad to see the old folks.This is a completely different experience for me.I would do my best to help the old folks.

Well.. thats practically my first time in an old folks home..
I haven nvr seen such things in my entire life.. well maybe that is the other part of the world i've yet to reveal..
Well .. now i noe that there are alot of less fortunate people in this world.. Hmmm.. seeing this type of things makes me feel quite sad for them.. This is a whole new level of discovering in my life.. and i bet there is more out thr to be discovered.. =)
